Natalie Gallimore

Natalie started dancing at the age of four at the Jamaica School of Dance (JSD) where she studied the Cecchetti ballet technique, Jamaican folk forms and modern dance.  She later became a member of the Junior Dance Theatre Workshop at the JSD and represented Jamaica at the International Children’s Festival held in Washington, D.C.  She has appeared in numerous dance presentations, television commercials and music videos and thereafter was a founding member of the Company Dance Theatre under the tutelage of Tony Wilson.

Natalie moved on to become a founding member of Dance Theatre Xaymaca (DTX) in 1996 and has toured with the Company to the World Festival of Island Cultures, Cheju Island, South Korea in 1998, the Cherry Blossom Festival in Macon, Georgia in 1999 and 2000 and to Boston in 2001.  Even though Natalie no longer performs, she has remained a part of the DTX family as Rehearsal Assistant to Ms. Barbara McDaniel, and an instructor and choreographer for DTX.  She was a member of the Company’s contingent, which toured to Beijing, China in 2006.  Natalie was appointed Associate Artistic Director of DTX in 2014. 

Natalie works as an Executive Secretary to the Deputy Director General Regulatory Affairs at the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority.
